Zonal: Settings
Updated over a week ago

You can adjust the settings of a location using Zonal as the POS.

Editing location settings is only possible with the user role Edit location settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your location. Some settings in this article can also be changed for individual channels.

Connection

Venue

Choose the Zonal venue to use for this location. All options are linked to the X-Auth-BrandToken and X-iOrder-User-Agent details used to integrate Deliverect and your POS.

Product sync

Snooze on product sync

Activate to automatically snooze items if they are unavailable or out of stock in the POS during a product sync. Items are then unsnoozed if they become available in the POS during the subsequent product sync.

Tax override

Enter a value to overwrite tax rates set in Zonal. The rate is applied to all items during a product sync. Leave the field empty to use the default POS tax values.

Uniquify items with same PLU

Activate to allow syncing of products and modifiers using same PLU by suffixing the PLU with v1 (for products) and portion ratio ID+v1 (for modifiers) to make both PLUs unique.

Auto-apply default modifiers

Activate to auto-apply any modifier defined as default in Zonal to replicate the behavior configured in your POS. You can further customize auto-apply settings on your Products page.

Remove portion from item name

Activate to not add portion name to the suffix of item names during a product sync. If you have an item with multiple portions, by default we suffix the portion name to the item for increased visibility in Deliverect.

When making changes to the following settings, ensure you are editing the correct area. Any changes made to the location will propagate to every online store for this location. Any changes made when editing the settings of an online store will impact only that online store.

Global order settings

Anonymize customer data (GDPR)

Activate to hide order customer info and delivery address details. Update the customer's name to “Anonymized” once the order is finalized by Zonal.

The customer information is available until the order receives the “Finalized” order status.

Order behaviour

Buffer orders

Activate to delay order release to the POS. Orders are automatically accepted on Parsed and Scheduled statuses until it is time to send them to the POS (pickup time minus the channel’s Average Preparation Time). This setting overrides the value set in Auto accept order when as all orders are auto-accepted.

Average preparation time

Set your average preparation time in minutes. Used in combination with the Buffer orders setting.

Average delivery time

Average delivery time in minutes. Controls various self-delivery and dispatch settings.

Separate same products

If two or more of the same products are ordered, separate them into individual line items for improved visibility in the POS order and receipt.

Skip sending order cancellation to POS

Skip sending any canceled order from an online store or the DMA to the POS.

Snooze item if out of stock

Automatically snooze items for a set amount of time if unavailable or out of stock. Snooze will trigger when an order is attempted and fails due to stock issue, where the unavailable item will then become snoozed.

Default table

Choose the Zonal table to assign to orders if a specific POS table is not provided by the online store. It is recommended to set -1 if you are using Service ID 5 (Delivery).

Sales area

Choose the Zonal sales area to use when retrieving menus and items during a product sync, and for sending orders from the online store. All options shown are those linked to the set Venue.

Order info

Order note PLU

Display any order-level note at the top of your order, assigned to this specific POS item. Create a 0 POS item and input the PLU here. Any order note will attribute to this item’s “messages” leaving any item-level notes to display directly on each real order item. The default behavior is for the order-level note to be added to the first order item’s “messages”, along with any real item-level note, which can lead to overlooked notes.
