Foodics: Settings
Updated over 2 months ago

You can adjust the settings of a location using Foodics as the POS.

Editing location settings is only possible with the user role Edit location settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your POS. Some settings in this article can also be changed for individual channels.

The following settings are available inside the Foodics POS settings section of a location or channel.

Product sync

Use POS ID as PLU

Activate to use the Foodics item IDs as item PLUs during product sync.

If inactive, the Foodics SKU is used as the PLU. If inactive and no SKU is available, the partial item ID will be used as PLU.

Combo price roll-up

By default, Foodics “Combo” items are synced with main price of 0.00, and all prices are attributed to the items in each section. Activate this setting to roll-up the lowest priced item in each section to create a main Combo price, and then attribute any additional cost as a surcharge on each item.

Sync localized names

Both main and localized names can be set in Foodics for items and their descriptions. Activate this setting to sync these into Deliverect as Arabic and English translations. Once activate, you must set the Name language and Local language settings to ensure correct translation mapping.

Name language

Both main and localized names can be set in Foodics for items and their descriptions. Choose whether “name” should be mapped to English or Arabic for Deliverect’s products.

Local language

Both main and localized names can be set in Foodics for items and their descriptions. Choose whether “localized_name” should be mapped to English or Arabic for Deliverect’s products.

When making changes to the following settings, ensure that you are editing in the correct area. Any changes made to the location will propagate to all online stores of this location. Any changes made when editing the settings from the online store will impact only that online store.
