Rappi: Settings

You can adjust the settings of a Rappi channel.

Editing channel settings is only possible with the user role Edit store settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your Rappi channel.

The following settings are available inside the Rappi channel settings section.

Connection

Set store schedule using location opening hours

Activate to use Deliverect’s opening hours to update your Rappi store’s opening hours. Changes to location opening hours are displayed in the Deliverect Operation Reports as “Update Store Opening Hours".

If the setting is inactive, set your Rappi opening hours in your Rappi portal.

Parent store channel link

Menus can only be published to Rappi’s parent store. If this store is not the parent store, set the correct parent channel link here.

Please note, the set parent store channel link must have the “Is parent store” setting enabled.

Menu

Set store schedule using menu availability

Activate to use your Deliverect menu's availability hours to update your Rappi store’s opening hours. When active, your published menu to Rappi will also send a request for the menu’s availability hours to update Rappi’s store schedule.

If the setting is inactive, set your Rappi opening hours in your Rappi dashboard.

The Set store schedule using location opening hours setting must be inactive, else the location opening hours will override the menu’s availability.

Is parent store

Menus can only be published to Rappi’s parent store. Activate this setting if this is the Rappi store set as your parent store in Rappi.

You must set this store in every non-parent store channel link’s Parent store channel link setting so that the published menu updates all stores.

Resize images

Activate to allow Deliverect to resize item images that do not fit within Rappi’s image dimensions by adding a white background

If the setting is inactive, ensure your menu images follow Rappi’s image guidelines.

Order

Fixed cost %

Input your Rappi fixed cost % for Deliverect to account for these amounts in your analytics. This information is not sent to your POS and is used solely for order total calculations in Deliverect Restaurants’ analytics.

Use store item names

Activate this setting to display the item names visible on Rappi (if they have been manually modified on your Deliverect menu) on the Orders page and the DMA screen and printouts (if you use the DMA).

The default behavior is to display the item’s names as they sync from your POS.

This behavior is only applicable for Deliverect Restaurants and DMA. If you use a POS, your POS will use its item names.

Send "Failed" order status

Activate to send “Failed” order status update from your POS or DMA to Rappi to notify them that the order has failed.

Be aware, “Failed” order status updates trigger Rappi to close your store.

When inactive, “Failed” order statuses are not sent to Rappi to avoid store closures. Ensure all failed orders are manually entered to your POS, as Rappi will send a courier because they were not notified about the “Failed” status update.

Send "Pickup ready" order status

Send a "Pickup ready" order status update from your POS or DMA to Rappi to notify them that an order is ready for collection.

This requires Rappi backoffice configuration to support orders to be manually marked as ready for pickup. Please ensure this is active in Rappi before activating the setting in Deliverect. Contact your Rappi representative if you require assistance.

Combine partner and merchant discounts

Activate to view and process discounts funded by both you and Rappi.

Rappi orders advise whether the order’s discount is funded by Rappi or yourself. Activating this setting combines Rappi and merchant-funded discount amounts in your orders' "Discount Total", which is sent to your POS. When inactive, only merchant-funded discounts are displayed.

Display check-in code in order note

Activate to display Rappi’s courier check-in code in the order note.
