You can adjust the settings of a Skip channel.

Editing channel settings is only possible with the user role Edit store settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your Skip channel.

The following settings are available inside the Skip channel settings section.

Connection

Update store opening hours

Activate to use Deliverect’s opening hours to update your Skip store’s opening hours. Changes to location opening hours are displayed in the Deliverect Operation Reports as “Update Store Opening Hours".

If inactive, set your Skip opening hours in your Skip portal.

Menu

Publish calories as kilojoules

Activate to publish the kilojoule equivalent of the calorie amount configured in your item’s Product specifications to Skip instead of calories. Skip will display the energy information as kJ instead of kcal.

Use portions

Activate to map your Deliverect variants to Skip portions to display sizes or variations of an item. You can create variants in Deliverect (or your POS if supported).

Order preparation time request

Activate to control your Skip order preparation time from Deliverect. Navigate to Order behaviour inside POS settings and set the desired time in the Average preparation time field.

To use this feature, please ask your Skip representative to activate the Dynamic Food Prep Time setting in Skip, or contact our support team to request it on your behalf.

If inactive, the estimated time is controlled from your Skip portal.

Order

Fixed cost %

Input your Skip fixed cost % for Deliverect to account for these amounts in your analytics. This information is not sent to your POS and is used solely for order total calculations in Deliverect Restaurants’ analytics.

Use store item names

Activate this setting to display the item names visible on Skip (if they have been manually modified on your Deliverect menu) on the Orders page and the DMA screen and printouts (if you use the DMA).

The default behavior is to display the item’s names as they sync from your POS.

This behavior is only applicable for Deliverect Restaurants and DMA. If you use a POS, your POS will use its item names.
