Deliveroo: Settings
Updated over 3 months ago

You can adjust the settings of a Deliveroo channel.

Editing channel settings is only possible with the user role Edit store settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your Deliveroo channel.

The following settings are available inside the Deliveroo channel settings section.

Connection

Update store opening hours

Use opening hours configured in Deliverect to update your Deliveroo store’s opening hours. When active, changes are shown in your operation reports as Update Store Opening Hours.

Menu

Send calories as kilojoules

Activate to append item names with the kilojoule equivalent of the calorie amount configured in the product's specifications.

Skip item image resizing

Skip Deliverect’s optimized image resizing, and instead publish images using their original dimensions. You must ensure your menu images follow Deliveroo's image guidelines.

Limit of products

Restrict the quantity of a product a customer can order. You must set a limit value in the “Item limit” field in a product’s specifications.

Skip menu header image resizing

Skip Deliverect’s optimized image resizing, and instead publish menu header images using their original dimensions. You must ensure your menu images follow Deliveroo's image guidelines.

Dual-price menu support

You can publish separate pickup and delivery prices to Deliveroo.

This setting requires using a POS with price level support. When active, you must set the price level values in the POS Settings editor. If this setting is not visible for your POS, contact our support team to set it up for you.

When a menu is published to Deliveroo, Deliverect will send the corresponding price level prices to Deliveroo for each order type, overriding any manual price changes made to prices in the Deliverect menu editor.

Order

Fixed cost %

Input your Deliveroo fixed cost % for Deliverect to account for these amounts in your analytics. This information is not sent to your POS and is used solely for order total calculations in Deliverect Restaurants’ analytics.

Use store item names

Activate this setting to display the item names visible on Deliveroo (if they have been manually modified on your Deliverect menu) on the Orders page and the DMA screen and printouts (if you use the DMA).

The default behavior is to display the item’s names as they sync from your POS.

This behavior is only applicable for Deliverect Restaurants and DMA. If you use a POS, your POS will use its item names.

Use Deliveroo’s preparation time

Deliveroo sends a “start_preparing_at” time with every order calculated using their algorithms and order size. Activate this setting to use this information to control when orders are sent to your POS.

When deactivated, orders are sent as soon as they’re received by Deliverect, or controlled via Deliverect’s order buffering and the preparation time set by you in the POS Settings editor.
