Uber Eats: Settings
Updated over a week ago

You can adjust the settings of an Uber Eats channel.

Editing channel settings is only possible with the user role Edit store settings. If your user role does not include this, contact an Administrator user in your account and ask them to provide you access. Learn how to change user roles.

Follow the steps in this article to access the settings page of your Uber Eats channel.

The following settings are available inside the Uber Eats channel settings section.

Menu

Snooze in Uber Eats App

Prevent item availability interference when publishing a menu from Deliverect, and continue to snooze via the Uber Eats App. Enable if you prefer to manage inventory from Uber Eats rather than via Deliverect’s snooze feature.

Enable item level notes

Allow your customers to leave “Special instructions” on individual items in their order. You must first publish your menu to Uber Eats after changing this setting.

Energy measurement unit

Send energy information to Uber Eats as calories (kcal), kilojoules (kJ), or both. You must also raise a request with Uber Eats to ensure they display the preferred value.

Skip image resizing

Skip Deliverect’s optimized image resizing, and instead publish images using their original dimensions. You must ensure your menu images follow Uber Eats’ image guidelines.

Closing time buffer

Uber Eats may allow orders to be placed past your closing time if the basket is in progress. Setting a buffer can prevent receiving orders on or around the close time. The minutes set for this field will change the “Open until” closing time on your Uber Eats store “Info".

Add product legal name to description

Activating this setting adds the legal names of items to the main name and description. The legal name is set inside the product specifications of the item.

Dual-price menu support

Publish separate Pickup and Delivery prices to Uber Eats. Refer to this article for further information on configuring this setting.

Global order settings

Multiple courier request

If you require multiple Uber Eats couriers for a large order, this setting allows you to request up to five couriers. Using this setting requires you to use the DMA. Learn more about the behavior of this feature.

Order

Fixed cost %

Input your Uber Eats fixed cost % so that your Deliverect analytics account for these amounts. This information is not sent to your POS, and is used solely for order total calculations in Deliverect Restaurants’ analytics.

Use store item names

Activate this setting to display the item names visible on Uber Eats (if they have been manually modified on your Deliverect menu) on the Orders page and the DMA screen and printouts (if you use the DMA).

The default behavior is to display the item’s names as they sync from your POS.

This behavior is only applicable for Deliverect Restaurants and DMA. If you use a POS, your POS will use its item names.

Order behaviour

Default preparation time override

The estimated preparation time shown to your customers.
If you prefer to set your own customer preparation time, enter a time in minutes to override the value on Uber Eats. Set the value to "0" to control the time directly via Uber Eats.

By default, orders automatically receive a preparation time calculated by Uber Eats’s algorithm, which uses the past order volume and current driver supply. To continue to update your order preparation time via Uber Eats, refer to your Uber Eats dashboard settings or contact the Uber Eats support team.
