Once you have imported or created your products in Deliverect, you can start adding allergens, tags, and additional data to them.
Even though adding this information is not mandatory inside Deliverect, the country you operate in may require information to be provided.
Consult the food labeling rules in your country to ensure you are compliant.
You can add information to your products using the Products or Menus pages. By adding them to the Products page, the information will show on all menus.
Products page
Step 1. Log in to your Deliverect account and go to the Products page.
Step 2. Once you have found the product, select the ⋮ button ①, followed by Edit ②.
Step 3. Select the Edit link.
Step 4. Specifications are broken up into different sections. Each tab is displayed below.
Only the Tags, Allergens, and Calories tabs are activated by default. Please reach out to your Deliverect account manager or our support team if you need access to additional tabs.
Tags
Tags: Choose from the available options (e.g., kosher, vegan, High fat, sugar and salt foods (HFSS)). The full list of available tags are shown here.
Contains alcohol: Check this option to confirm.
Allergens
Allergens: Crucial information to prevent customers from having allergic reactions. Choose from the available options (e.g., dairy, nuts, egg).
Calories
Calories: Enter the kcal value of the product.
Dispatch sizing
Dispatch sizing: Select the item's size if your dispatch courier requires this.
Nutrition info
Fat: Enter the total grams of fat.
Sugar: Enter the total grams of sugar.
Saturated Fat: Enter the total grams of saturated fat.
Carbohydrates: Enter the total grams of carbohydrates.
Protein: Enter the total grams of protein.
Salt: Enter the total grams of salt.
Beverage info
Caffeine amount: Enter the total mg of caffeine in the beverage.
Alcohol percentage: Enter the total percentage of alcohol in the beverage.
Packaging info
Storage instructions: Provide any details for storing the product (e.g., keep frozen, keep below 5 degrees Celsius)
Reusable: Activate if the packing materials are able to be reused.
Supplemental info
Legal name: It is necessary to enter a legal name if one exists. Legal names are prescribed for food by specific legislation applying to it (e.g., milk chocolate).
Ingredients: Type to create or choose from existing ingredients (e.g., eggs, rice).
Additives: Type to create or choose from existing additives (e.g., salt, food coloring).
Prepackaged: Activate if the product has already been prepared.
Deposit: If applicable, enter the container deposit in the decimal value (e.g., enter 25 for 25 cents).
Instructions for use: Provide any details needed to prepare the product.
Net quantity
Amount: Enter the total weight, volume, or count (e.g., 30).
Unit type: Choose the unit for the product (weight/count/volume).
Count unit description: Enter text to provide context to the amount and unit type (e.g., pieces, wings).
Serving size
Amount: Enter the weight, volume, or total count of a serving size (e.g., 10).
Unit type: Choose the unit for the serving size (weight/count/volume).
Count unit description: Enter text to provide context to the amount and unit type (e.g., pieces, wings).
Food Business Operator
Name: Enter the name of the individual responsible for the product.
Address: Enter the address of the business responsible for the product.
For a single menu
Step 1. Product specifications can be edited for individual menus. Go to the Menus page in your Deliverect account.
Step 2. Select the Edit button for the menu you want to change.
Step 3. Find the product and select the ··· icon ①, followed by Edit Product ②.
Step 4. Select the Tags & Allergens dropdown to view and select the available options. Multiple can be added. Once finished, select the Save Edits button. Publish your menu to bring the changes online.
Remove allergens and tags
To remove an allergen/tag from a product, select the x next to the name.
Tags configured on your POS?
If the POS integration supports syncing tags, they will already be present in your products.
You can differentiate between POS tags and Deliverect tags by the presence of the delete functionality (x next to the name). You can remove Deliverect tags but you can not remove POS tags.
