Sometimes orders don't need to be immediately fulfilled. Using the Buffer Orders feature, send orders to your POS only when preparation needs to start. To activate this, follow the steps in this article.
We advise checking your current buffer/delay/preparation time settings on your delivery channels and POS, as these can interfere with the time set on Deliverect.
Some integration partners provide dynamic times (e.g. Deliveroo and Grubhub).
Step 1. Go to the Locations page on your Deliverect account.
Step 2. Expand the location of the channel you want to change.
Step 3. Select the Edit button for a channel.

Step 4. Go to the POS settings tab and select Order behaviour.
Step 5. Activate the Buffer orders checkbox.
Step 6 (optional). If desired, adjust the Average preparation time value. This determines when an order will be sent to your POS (e.g. a value of 15 means that an order will be sent to your POS 15 minutes before the order should be ready).
Step 7. Select the Save button at the bottom of the page.
