Order throttling allows you to adjust the preparation time for orders based on different criteria.
This functionality is not currently available for all customers.
Create a strategy
Step 1. Log in to Deliverect Restaurants. In the sidebar, select Orders and then Order management.
Step 2. Select the Order throttling tab.
Step 3. Select the Create strategy button.
Step 4. Create the strategy by completing the fields.
General
Name: Enter a recognizable name for this strategy.
Dynamic preparation times
Activate the toggle to extend order preparation times after reaching defined thresholds for a time window.
Time window: Set the time window in minutes.
You can set the following threshold criteria:
Maximum orders per window
Maximum order value per window
Maximum items per window.
Scheduled preparation times
Activate to schedule custom preparation times throughout the week.
Toggle on days of the week to set custom preparation times. Specify when it should be active and the preparation time in minutes.
Order-level preparation times
Define preparation times based on the order value or items. You can choose the following options:
Fixed: Extend the preparation time by a fixed amount when an order exceeds the threshold.
Tiered: Extend the preparation time amount based on an order's value or number of items.
Per-product: Use the preparation times configured for your products. Learn how to configure this for a product.
Locations
Select the Assign locations button and choose which locations or location groups should use this strategy. Select Save to confirm.
Step 5. Select the Create button to finish setting up your strategy.
Make changes to an existing strategy
On the Order throttling tab, select the ⫶ icon for the strategy. You can perform the following actions:
Edit
Duplicate
Delete
