If you manage service charges or delivery fees on your delivery channels, create service fees on your Revel POS so that we can send the information correctly to your POS.
Step 1. Log into your Revel dashboard, select Products ①, and then Service Fees in the sidebar ②.
Step 2. Select + Add Service Fee. Enter the following:
Name: "DoorDash Service Charge", for example
Type: Amount
Application type: Order
Apply to: Subtotal
Active: Active
Select the Save button.
Revel uses Service Fees for both service charge and delivery fee mapping. If you require both surcharge types to be sent to POS, create separate “Service Charge” and “Delivery Fee” options for each channel.
Step 3. Select the edit icon for the service fee.
Step 4. Fill in the remaining fields. If you have multiple channels, we suggest creating a delivery fee and service charge for each with a unique Alias (e.g., DOORDASH-SERVICE-CHARGE, UBEREATS-SERVICE-CHARGE).
Dynamic: Active
Alias: X-SERVICE-CHARGE (Replace X with the name of your channel)
Select the Save button.
Go to Revel POS settings and choose Order. Select the Service charge alias and Delivery fee alias dropdowns and choose the newly created service fees. Select the Save button.
