Protect your locations from fraudulent orders. Risk analyzes every order placed through your first-party channels and flags or blocks suspicious activity based on rules you control, so bad orders never reach your kitchen, and genuine customers never notice a thing.
To access, log in to Direct Suite and select Risk in the sidebar.
The following pages are available: Dashboard, Tiers, Activity, and Blocklist.
Dashboard
The Dashboard gives you a 30-day overview of everything Risk has done for you:
Total: All orders analyzed.
Blocked: Orders stopped for violating your rules.
Allowed: Orders that passed all checks.
Saved revenue: The estimated value protected by blocking fraudulent orders.
The activity bar shows the split between allowed and blocked orders at a glance.
Tiers
Not every location faces the same risk. Tiers let you group locations by risk level and apply the right rules to each group, stricter limits for high-risk locations, lighter ones where fraud is rare.
Risk analysis
You can change how risk behaves at a location by selecting its Risk analysis dropdown.
Inactive: Risk ignores this location. Orders aren't analyzed.
Monitoring: Risk analyzes orders and flags violations, but doesn't block.
Blocking: Risk analyzes orders and blocks any that violate the rules.
Tier settings
Select Tier settings to define the rules for each tier.
For each tier, the following settings can be activated/deactivated and customized:
Checkout attempts
Limit hourly attempts: Limit how many checkout attempts a customer can make per hour at a location
Limit daily attempts: Limit total checkout attempts per day.
Repeated rapid checkout attempts are a common sign of card testing, where fraudsters try stolen card numbers until one works.
Transaction limits
Limit large basket orders: Limit how many orders above a chosen amount a location accepts per day. For example: no more than 10 orders larger than $1,000.
Unusually large orders are a frequent fraud pattern, this rule contains the damage without affecting normal ordering.
Select the Save button to apply any changes.
Activity
View every analyzed order and the decision made.
Decision: Allowed or Blocked, with the reason shown for blocked orders (e.g, "Hourly rate exceeded").
Tier: Which tier's rules were applied.
Mode: Whether the location was in Monitoring or Blocking when the decision was made.
