Suggest items to your customers based on their basket contents. You can let AI automatically create suggestions or create your own.
To access the feature, log in to Direct Suite and select Upsell in the sidebar.
This feature is not yet available to all Direct Suite customers. Contact our support team to request access.
AI Suggestions
AI Suggestions learn from your previous orders and recommends items your customers typically purchase together.
Only suggests items are present in the menu and in stock.
Never suggests an item already in the basket.
Focuses on what's missing from an order (e.g., a side or a dessert).
Activate the Enable AI suggestions toggle to use this functionality.
Rules
Directly control which items are suggested to your customers.
Create a rule
Step 1. Select the + Add rule button.
Step 2. Enter details for your new rule.
General
Title: Enter a descriptive name for your rule (e.g., Suggest a donut).
Suggested items
Select the + Add items button.
Choose the items to include and select the Apply button.
Availability
Select when to apply your rule.
Schedule
Start showing: Choose either immediately or a custom date.
Stop showing: Choose either never or a custom date.
Stores
Limit the rule to specific stores by selecting the Assign stores button.
Step 3. Select the Save button to finish creating your rule.
Ordering rules
Rules receive priority based on their position in the list. If multiple rules satisfy the availability criteria, the rule higher in the list will be used.
Manage a rule
You can activate or deactivate a rule by selecting its toggle. Select the ⋮ button to edit or delete it.
