Wolt: Solve Issues

In this article, you can find solutions to some of the more common issues when using the Wolt integration.

Issues shown on the Orders page

On the Orders page, you can find issues related to order processing.

Error message or issue

How to resolve

Order shows an invalid product or PLU error after a menu change.

This happens if your menu was changed directly on the delivery platform's side instead of in Deliverect. Republish your menu to Wolt to resync the item IDs.

A discount, delivery fee, or service charge isn't being sent through to your POS.

This happens when the matching item isn't set up and linked in your channel settings. Contact our support team if you need help setting this up.

An order stays stuck in “Scheduled” and is never released.

This means Wolt never released the order for preparation, often because no courier was available or the order was canceled on Wolt's side. Contact our support team and we'll follow up with Wolt on your behalf.

Your Wolt channel shows a 401 Unauthorized connection error.

Your Wolt store's connection has likely expired. Reconnect your Wolt account, then publish your menu again and keep an eye on the next few orders to confirm everything is working.

Issues shown on the Operation reports page

All non-order-related issues are found on the Operation reports page. This includes menu publishing, busy mode, and snoozing.

Menu publishing

Error message or issue

How to resolve

Menu publish fails with an “Unauthorized operation” or 401 error.

This usually happens because you're running a marketing campaign on Wolt, and Wolt blocks menu updates while a campaign is active to protect it. Wait until your campaign ends, then republish your menu.

Menu publish fails with an invalid API key or credentials error.

Your stored Wolt login details are incorrect or out of date. Contact our support team so we can verify and correct your credentials.

Menu publish fails with a nutrition information validation error.

This is related to EU nutrition labeling requirements and a misconfiguration in how nutrition info is set up on your menu items. Contact our support team so we can help correct the setup.

Menu publish fails due to an invalid character in your account username.

One of your account details contains a character that isn't supported. Contact our support team so we can correct it for you.

Busy mode

Error message or issue

How to resolve

Busy mode can't be turned on because your store status is set to onboarding or suspended.

If your store should be live, contact our support team to have your channel status corrected.

Busy mode fails with an authentication or invalid API key error.

Your stored Wolt credentials are incorrect. Contact our support team so we can have this corrected with Wolt.

Snoozing

Wolt limits how many snooze/unsnooze requests can be made in a short time. If you snooze or unsnooze items very frequently and see errors, wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem continues, contact our support team.

Other

Error message or issue

How to resolve

An order shows an unexpected or unaccounted-for payment amount.

This can happen when Wolt's order total doesn't match the sum of the items sent (for example, a bottle deposit surcharge). Contact our support team with a screenshot of the full order from your Wolt portal so we can investigate.

Preparation times shown to customers seem too short or too long.

Wolt uses the average preparation time set in Deliverect, combined with the earliest time a courier is available. Update your average preparation time in your Deliverect settings.

Your Wolt store shows as unavailable to customers.

This can happen if busy mode is on, your opening hours don't match, there's no courier in your area, or your store was paused from the Wolt tablet. Check your opening hours and busy mode setting first. If everything looks correct, contact our support team.

Menu publish shows as successful, but the menu on Wolt didn't actually update.

All menu items need both a name and a description to publish correctly. Correct any missing fields and republish your menu.

A marketing campaign or promotion disappears after publishing a menu.

Publishing a menu always overrides any active campaign on Wolt. If you're running a promotion, avoid republishing your menu until the campaign ends, or coordinate with Wolt beforehand.

“Pickup Ready” doesn't seem to notify the courier.

This feature only works on certain Wolt plans. Contact Wolt to confirm which plan you're on – if you're on the Basic plan, riders must be notified using the Wolt tablet instead.

Images uploaded to your menu look resized or cropped differently than expected.

Wolt automatically resizes images that don't meet their guidelines. To avoid this, make sure images use a 16:9 aspect ratio and are at least 1000px wide.

A menu item can't be published because it's priced at 0.

All top-level menu items must have a price greater than 0. Update the product to add a price and republish your menu.
