In this article, you can find solutions to some of the more common issues when using the Bolt integration.
Issues shown on the Operation reports page
All non-order-related issues are found on the Operation reports page. This includes menu publishing, busy mode, and snoozing.
Menu publishing
Error message or issue | How to resolve |
Menu push fails with a validation error mentioning “INVALID_OPTION_GROUP_STRUCTURE”. | This happens when a modifier group's “select up to” value is set higher than its maximum allowed value. Update the modifier group so this value is equal to or less than the maximum value, then republish your menu. |
Menu push fails with a validation error mentioning “INVALID_MENU_STRUCTURE” and “duplicated children”. | This is caused by a duplicate-checking setting on Bolt's side. Contact our support team so we can have this setting disabled for your store. |

Items you've marked as unavailable (snoozed) on Bolt become available again after you update your menu. | Publishing a menu update on Bolt refreshes the availability of all items, including ones you'd marked as unavailable. Contact our support team to make sure the setting that keeps unavailable items marked correctly is enabled for your store. |
You want to temporarily disable your Bolt integration and reconnect later. | Contact our support team to have the integration disabled and later re-enabled. Note that after it's re-enabled, you'll also need to restart the Bolt app yourself, otherwise your store may remain shown as closed. |
Nested modifiers (a modifier that has its own sub-modifiers) don't come through correctly. | Bolt doesn't support nested modifiers. Structure your menu using flat modifier groups instead. |
