ezCater: Limitations

The following limitations exist when using the ezCater channel with Deliverect.

Allow customers to select a modifier or upsell item more than once (multiMax)

Not supported.

Busy mode

Your ezCater store's status cannot be changed from Deliverect.

Category images, sorting, and availabilities

Not supported.

Courier info

Not supported.

Item price breakdown

ezCater does not provide a breakdown of prices for orders.

Meal deals and modifiers

ezCater only allows for one additional layer in menus. Only the main item and the first layer of products can be created. Nested modifiers are not supported.

Multiple menus and menu availabilities

Not supported.

Opening hours

It is not possible to manage your opening hours in Deliverect.

Product sorting

Products are automatically arranged by their popularity by ezCater. This sorting cannot be controlled within Deliverect. You can request specific changes to ezCater directly after publishing a menu.

Selecting the minimum and maximum selection of items in a modifier group or upsell group.

Minimum is limited to 1.

Snoozing

Snoozing is not supported. Instead, remove the unavailable items from your menu and then publish it again to ezCater.

Stock management

Not supported.

Upsells and variants

Upsells and variants should be avoided when using ezCater.

  • Upsells: Products contained within upsell and variant items are added as first-level products. Modifiers within these products will be ignored as they are considered nested modifiers.

  • Variants: The cheapest item will be interpreted as free, causing ezCater to mark the item as unavailable.

Taxes

Tax rates are not sent to ezCater when publishing a menu.
