Create a Modifier or Modifier Group
Updated over a week ago

Modifiers and modifier groups allow you to add additional information or options to your products. They are commonly referred to as "options" or "extras" on other platforms.

Once created, they can be attached to products in your account.

This article is only relevant if you do not have a POS integration. If you do have a POS, you can instead sync your products, modifiers, and modifier groups.

Modifiers

A modifier is an item that customers can choose for a product, that exists inside a modifier group. For a pizza, some modifiers could be cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple.

Modifier Groups

A modifier group brings together modifiers you want to add to a product. For example, if you have a pizza product, a modifier group could be "Choose your Toppings".

Example

Take a look at the example below and how they are displayed in Deliverect.

  • Product: Fries

Check if this modifier is not a physical item. This is useful if the item does not need to be counted when individually packed (only relevant for the Delivery Manager App and not available to all customers). Contact our support team for more details.

Change the status of the modifier. Setting this to inactive will remove your modifier from sale.

Set a category for the modifier. Items with the same modifier are grouped together on receipts. Only available if you use the DMA.

Add product specifications to the modifier. These include tags, allergens, nutritional values, and more. View this article for all possibilities.
