Create and assign product categories to help you organize your products.
Benefits of using categories:
Channels: Restrict the availability of products if they are given a specific category. Typically used to prevent the sale of alcohol after a set time. Not all channels support this functionality.
DMA: Products can be sorted by category on tickets. Contact our support team to activate.
Menus page: Categories are shown in the sidebar to help you add products to menus.
Products page: Use the categories filter to find products easier.
Create a product category
Step 1. Select Products in the sidebar.
Step 2. Select the ⫶ button and choose Manage categories

Step 3. Select the Create category button.
Step 4. Enter a name for your category and select the Save button.
Assign a category to a product
Step 1. Select Products in the sidebar.
Step 2. Select the product that you want to have a category.
Step 3. In the Organisation section, select the Category dropdown and choose the category.
Step 4. Select the Save changes button.
