You can use your Deliverect menu to create items in Shopify or create a mapping between Deliverect and your existing Shopify item database.
Create items from Deliverect
If you would like items in your Deliverect menu to create items on Shopify, ask your Deliverect representative or our support team to activate the Create products setting. Publishing a menu with a new item will create that item in your Shopify account.
Map items
To map to your existing Shopify item database, ask your Deliverect representative to deactivate the Create products setting. Follow these steps to set up the initial mapping.
Step 1. Ensure that the names between Deliverect and Shopify are identical:
Categories in Deliverect match the names of Collections in Shopify
Product (top-level items) in Deliverect match the names of Products in Shopify
Modifiers in Deliverect match the names of Variants in Shopify
Step 2. Publish your menu.
Step 3. Reach out to your Deliverect representative or our support team who can check the progress of your mapping. We will provide a list of any items with issues. For those items, ensure that the Deliverect item naming is identical to what is in Shopify and re-publish your menu.
