TouchBistro: Accept Online Orders on Your POS (Manual and Auto Accept)

In this article, we will show you how orders from Deliverect are handled by TouchBistro POS.

Depending on the integration of your delivery channels, you may first need to confirm the order in your delivery tablet and select your preferred preparation time before sending the order to your TouchBistro POS. To learn more, view the Ordering Channels collection or contact our support team.

In order to receive new online orders, your TouchBistro POS application should be open at all times on your iPad during your delivery operation hours.

Receiving and Accepting Orders in TouchBistro POS

Once an order has been placed by a guest via any of your delivery channels (e.g., Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.), the order will be sent to your TouchBistro POS and two notifications will occur:

  • A sound is played

  • A dropdown banner is shown

To view your new online orders, go to your Orders section and select the Online Ordering tab.

All new orders will appear on the left side of your screen, with order details on the right. You must select Accept once a new order is received. Doing so will fully confirm the customer's order and print the items at their respective printers.

Once the customer or driver has picked up the order, select Complete to finalize the order.

The closed order will now show under your Closed Bills and be included in your end-of-day reports.

Auto-accept (As of May 15, 2023)

There is now auto-accept functionality within TouchBistro for online orders. Please note there are limitations regards to printer compatibility and scheduled orders. Read this article for setup instructions and features/limitations.

Information TouchBistro displays from orders

Your delivery channels may not provide all of the below. To find out what they do support, view our Ordering Channels collection or contact our support team.

  • Delivery channel information

  • Type of order

  • Customer's name

  • Customer's phone number and delivery address

  • Pickup time

  • Menu items and chosen item modifiers

  • Menu item notes

  • Order notes

  • Order total

  • Order tax

  • Order payment

  • Tip amount

Review your TouchBistro Bill and Order Ticket settings to ensure all relevant information is displayed and printed via your POS.
