Follow the steps in this article if your POS requires the creation of a tunnel.
Step 1. Log in to your Deliverect account. In the sidebar, select Settings and then Keys.
Step 2. Select the Download client button to download the software needed for the tunnel.
Step 3. Select the + Create tunnel button.
Step 4. Choose the location from the dropdown and select the Create button.
Step 5. The POS URL and Client key are now displayed. Make a note of them or leave this page open.
Step 6. Install the client that you downloaded in Step 2. You will be asked for the following:
Token: Enter the Client key.
Port: Enter the port that is used by your POS.
Protocol: Choose the correct protocol for your POS.
Which protocol to use?
tcp: This is the most common protocol for POS integrations. Pick this if the local software listens on a plain socket, or if you’re unsure what it speaks. Deliverect fills in the resulting address for your location automatically — you don’t need to report anything back to us, and if the port ever changes it updates itself.
https: Use only if the local software is a web server that answers plain HTTP requests on the port you entered, and you’ve been told to use a fixed https://<your-subdomain.>tunnel.deliverect.com address. With this option, the address has to be configured on the Deliverect side once, so use it only when your Deliverect contact asked for it.
In both cases the connection between your machine and Deliverect is encrypted. It only describes how your local software is addressed on your own network. If you are unsure which protocol to use, contact our support team.
Select the Next button once ready.
After installation, the installer should open localhost:4040 in your browser with requests being shown.

Step 8. Enter the POS URL (from Step 5.) into the POS server endpoint field. Select the Save button. Your tunnel is now configured.
