Use Deliverect Pay and need to provide a refund to a customer? Follow the steps in this guide to learn how. Refunds may be needed in various situations such as cancelled orders or unfulfilled deliveries. Keep all relevant order details ready to ensure smooth processing.
Step 1. Log in to your Deliverect account, go to Operations, and then Payments in your sidebar.
Step 2. Select the payment you want to refund.
Step 3. Select the Refund options button.
Step 4. You can choose to refund a custom amount or the order total. Select the Refund button to confirm. The Partially refunded status is given to orders not fully refunded. Ensure you have the order number, as it is mandatory to initiate the refund process. For cancelled orders, remember that refunds are not processed automatically and an explicit request must be made.
Refunds for other delivery channels
If your order was placed through an external delivery channel and you do not use Deliverect pay and it was not delivered due to operation issues (e.g., no driver being assigned):
Deliverect is unable to handle the refund process for these orders directly.
You need to contact the delivery channel (JustEat, UberEats etc.) customer support directly. They manage all refund-related discussions and payment processes for their platform.
