Online Ordering: Configure a Custom Domain

This article is only relevant for customers using the new Online Ordering channel.

Use your domain to make it easier for customers to remember where to place orders.

Step 1. Log in to the control panel of your domain registrar (where you purchased the domain).


Step 2. Find the page where you can add or edit domain records. You can typically find this by selecting your domain name and then finding the section called DNS Management, Advanced Settings, or similar).


Step 3. Create a new subdomain using the following details.

  • Type: CNAME

  • Host: Provide the subdomain you want to use, e.g., "order".

  • Destination/Target: white-label.deliverectdirect.com

The subdomain is a prefix to your domain that you'll use for your Online Ordering website. The subdomains are shown in bold for the examples below:

  • order.example.com

  • menu.example.com

The Destination/Target field must be white-label.deliverectdirect.com.

You can test that your CNAME is correctly set up by performing a lookup.


Step 4. Log in to Deliverect Direct at social-frontend.deliverect.com or by selecting the Direct icon in the sidebar.​

In the sidebar, select Sales channels and then Online Ordering .


Step 5. In the Ordering link tab, enter the full address into the Domain name field (e.g., https://order.example.com).


Step 6. Select the Save domain settings button.
