This article explains how to add/change SKUs for products and modifiers in Revel. This is an important step to be able to sync your products, so please read through it thoroughly.

Overview

  • All SKUs must be unique.

  • An SKU can be anything, but it is recommended to have a “P” at the start for products and an 'M" for modifiers.

  • Revel does not require modifiers to have an SKU, but it is crucial for us to have them.

If a modifiers does not have an SKU, they will be assigned a UUID like “fjasdfj13-4134-fafd-fadsfasdfeaer3”. If that happens, the modifier will not be useable for other locations.

For products

Step 1. Go to the Products tab.

Step 2. Select the edit (pencil) icon for the product.

Step 3. Change the SKU and select Save. Repeat this process for all of your products.

For modifiers

Step 1. Go to the Products tab.

Step 2. Choose Modifiers in the sidebar.

Step 3. Select the edit (pencil) icon for the modifier.

Step 4. Change the value in the Sku field. Select Save. Repeat this process for all of your modifiers.
